Car is back.  Bad battery.  A monetary set-back, but not a major one.

My sister and mom are arriving Friday for a visit of unspecified length.  My house is on the fucking filthy side; cleaning is the name of the game this week.

Yesterday I went to my friends' house (married couple who are opening the restaurant) before 11am to load up.  Drove down to Market Street.  We set up the tent and tables under the constant threat of rain.  Fortunately we didn't get too wet and the change of clothes I brought were unnecessary.

Huge turn around in the temperatures here.  Today it felt like November--high 50s, drizzly, overcast, windy.  So bizzare considering we were 102 three days ago.  40 degree difference.  And it's supposed to be like this for the next several days.  Feels nice to not sweat, though I'm looking forward to the weekend when it will be back into the ( Read more... )

I picked up A Feast for Crows on Saturday night.  It is the fourth book in A Song of Ice and Fire series, the last one of my reread before I get to run out and buy/power up the Nook and dowload A Dance with Dragons.  Now that I'm getting into it (currently on p 106), I'm realizing that I barely remember any of it.
